Through our Functional Service Provision (FSP), we connect clients with teams that can act as extensions of a sponsor’s permanent staff, ensuring seamless management and delivery. For this edition of the Career Perspectives series, we’ve asked some of our longstanding FSP Programming experts to reflect on their decade-plus-long careers and experience at Cytel:
Anwaya Joshi, Senior Team Lead, FSP Programming
“The most important thing I have observed — and I love — about working in Cytel is its environment. The people and atmosphere in the company are incredibly positive. The quantum of work can vary but on days when the workload is heavy, the work environment and the people around you in the company make you feel calm. Even after nearly 12 years, what has kept me excited about working in Cytel and this industry is the unique work that I had the opportunity to do. Cytel has given me the chance to work on a variety of projects, so I never felt stagnant or bored. There is always something new to learn and experience at Cytel.”

“I joined Cytel around 10 years back and, so far, it has been a remarkable and fascinating journey. Over the years, I have witnessed Cytel grow at a tremendous pace, and parallelly I saw a growth in my career as well. I joined the company as a statistical programmer and currently work as a Project Manager. In my experience, the Cytel culture recognizes employees based on their caliber instead of only their qualifications, which I think is great.
Cytel supports its clients in the life sciences industry with an aim to improve human health and I am proud to be able to contribute through my everyday efforts. The trust and freedom the management has given us has enabled me to become customer-centric. Cytel has a healthy competitive work environment and an approachable management. There are commonalities among peers and supervisors, which bring a sense of belongingness and happiness — a key factor that made my journey so memorable.

“When I look back, I realize how I have changed for the better over the years, and I am extremely thankful to Cytel for my growth. I have celebrated and enjoyed every moment here in different teams and roles. I am still learning, even though I have been a part of the industry for more than 14 years.
My journey at Cytel has been wonderful with a good mix of interesting challenges, commitment, new learnings such as leadership, and interpersonal skills and a positive attitude. “It has been a fantastic journey and a great learning experience with Cytel. I am happy to say that Cytel is one of the best companies to work for, particularly at the start of your career where there is a lot of scope to learn, achieve, and enjoy. Cytel offers its employees a good work-life balance, job security, and competitive pay. I started my professional journey with Cytel as an intern and currently work as a Team Lead. The company culture allowed me to grow in the direction of today’s business needs, and I got the opportunity to develop team management skills along with technical skills as I worked with various clients, for both FSP and non-FSP. The most enjoyable part is the Cytel Cricket League (CCL)! Importantly, Cytel really came forward and supported its employees during the COVID-19 pandemic crisis, which is commendable.
