During an invited speakers session at the lnternational Society for Clinical Biostatistics, Cytel VP Yannis Jemiai was joined by R.N. Rodriguez from the SAS Institute and IR White (formerly of Stata), to discuss innovations in software for clinical trials.
The session, entitled “Beyond R Packages: Getting Our Methods Into Standard Software,” covered a range of topics including:
- How developers choose which statistical methods to incorporate into new software;
- How to ensure flexible and versatile software for clinical trial;
- How to create software that is intuitive and easy to use;
- How to cultivate trust in the statistical results displayed by software.
This session comes on the heels of Cytel’s release of East® version 6.3, as well as East PROCs for SAS users.
