PharmaSUG 2017 proved to be an inspirational and informative event. With over 200 paper presentations, posters, and hands-on workshops to choose from, delegates could select the topics most relevant to their statistical programming experience and interests.
PharmaSUG papers are split into 15 different academic sections, and Cytel was well represented in the Statistics and Pharmacokinetics stream with two of our talented programmers, Chris Smith and Sharmeen Reza, presenting separate papers.
Chris commented "With advancement in computing power, Multiple Imputation ( MI) is gaining popularity in our industry. We felt it was important to educate other statistical programmers on the MI process to remove some of the mystery behind the procedures involved."
There was also a great deal of interest in Sharmeen’s paper Population PK/PD Analysis - SAS® with R and NONMEM® Make Customization Easy. With population PK/ PD Modelling approaches increasing in importance in drug development, it’s critical to find efficient methods for manipulating what is often complex data. In her paper, Sharmeen shows how SAS can be used to create a customizable solution.
