Since 2011 we have been celebrating Cytel's birthdays by holding an East Annual Symposium and User Group Meeting ( EUGM), alternating locations between Europe and the United States. Our keynote speakers have featured some of the industry's most eminent biostatistics thought leaders including Stuart Pocock, Dave DeMets, Chris Jennison, Sue Todd, and Franz Koenig. Each annual event has been a great success with a mix of scientific presentations, animated discussion, round tables and pre-conference software workshops.
We are excited to confirm that this year's EUGM will be held in Boston on 25th and 26th October. Day one, which is to be hosted at Biogen's premises on Binney St, will feature presentations on such hot topics as basket trials in modern drug development, and how to optimize the geographic distribution of sites in clinical studies. Day two will be held at MIT, where delegates will benefit from practical training in Cytel's East software, with a particular focus on designing multi-arm multi-stage trials, and single and dual agent dose escalation studies.
The agenda has been developed collaboratively by the EUGM Scientific Committee which is chaired by Zoran Antonijevic of Amgen.
The EUGM offers a unique perspective on clinical trials by combining methodological and practical scientific talks with the ability to work directly with East software.
