Thursday, July 10, 2008 - 2:00 PM Eastern US
Please join Cytel Senior Statistician, Jeff Palmer in a review of Bayesian statistics and their practical application in modern clinical trials.
This timely webinar will examine how the Bayesian approach is today benefiting clinical development efforts with tools for better decision-making and a mechanism for sharing information from one phase of the clinical development process to the next.
Who will benefit?
With a focus on practical applications, Jeff Palmer's insights will interest clinical study design team members - statisticians and clinicians - intrigued by the increase of Bayesian-based study designs throughout a variety of therapeutic areas.
Attendees will learn:
• The essential Bayesian theory building blocks used in clinical trial design
• Specific advantages and disadvantages of a Bayesian design
• How to construct an adaptive trial that leverages Bayesian decision criteria
• How to best incorporate prior information into a study design
• An introduction to posterior predictive probability and how it can be used to
• Forecast future trial outcomes for better trial planning
• Make informed trial design decisions in the adaptive realm
Your questions answered
Following his 45 minute presentation, Jeff Palmer will conduct a live Q&A session
