East 2000 File Conversion
At the request of several East 3 users, a stand alone utility program, East3Import Tool.exe, has been developed in order to convert East 2000 files (.vts) to East 3 files (.est). The utility is available for download from our FTP site.

Download instructions:

FTP site name : ftp.cytel.com (ftp://ftp.cytel.com)
User name: ftp_east3
password: importtool
Folder name: \\users\east3

Installation instructions for the utility program:
1. Login to the above ftp site.
2. Double click on <Users> folder.
3. Double click on <east 3> folder.
4. Double click on "East3 Import Tool.exe".
5. The "File Download" box will open, click on "save" to save "East3ImportTool.exe" file to any folder of your choice in your computer. (e.g. c:\temp)
6. Double click on the downloaded "East3ImportTool.exe" file to install the application.
7. At the end of the installation process, you will be prompted to read the "ReadMe" file. This file will also be available in your installation folder.
The ReadMe file has useful information about using the utility program.
8. The installation process will create an icon on your desktop.
9. You will then be ready to use the utility program to open East 2000 files and save them as East 3 files.
